Fine Art

Small Town Prince George, BC

As time goes by - and we tend to have more of it now than before, I have been going through photos I took days, months and years ago. Photos that I took for myself, for my own mental well being and release. As photographers, professional and hobbyist, you get caught in the groove of your work and forget to unwind and try new things. Over the years I took so many wonderful photos that I didn’t plan on doing anything with, photos that were taken while I traveled during work and personal purposes. I’ve been lucky to have been able to travel - not as extensively as some - but still, make my way around the rock we’re all on and see some great places, fall in love with some towns, and explore their cities. Prince George, BC is one of them and it has a kind of romance to it you can only appreciate by taking the time to explore it.

These Corona Days

Hope you all have been keeping safe and healthy during this pandemic. It’s important to look back and reflect on what was and just as important to look ahead at what will be. How we entered into this isolation period is not going to be the same as how we exit - and I’m hoping that it’s a positive change for everyone. I’ve been keeping busy doing work around the house like painting and visualizing some changes to the decor, especially with hanging my own photography work from my fine art and travel.

I recently have been without a computer for bout 6 months (my graphics card bit the dust on my iMac) and I’ve been so content without sitting in front of that thing, although I do have an iPad Pro that has taken it’s place but I’m on it a lot less.

I go out for drives and come across some really neat places, luckily for me, I happen to to always have my camera so I’m prepared to capturing some really cool photos. I’ll have one attached to this post for you.

Until we meet again,

Lucky

A little travel

Well, it’s been another “while” and I missed some entries here but I’m making a go of it now. Between weddings and work I have been doing quite a bit of traveling, so much so that I have taken some photos and haven’t even had a chance to work on them. Here’s a little update for this past weekend though, I was in Los Angeles for a couple of days and in particular - Venice beach and Santa Monica. That’s a lot of walking. Spent the day photographing life on the boardwalk and just getting my mind cleared from a long winter. I haven’t properly walked the boardwalk between the two cities in dogs years and you know, it felt good getting that cool ocean air into the lungs and some sand under my chucks. You can get lost in the jungle of life out there between the tourists and the regulars to the campers and street people. They all have a uniqueness to them and they’re kind souls who just don’t wanna leave what once was. The culture is very much alive on the boardwalk.
